Do Revenge - Original score by Este Haim and Amanda Yamate

Out on Netflix September 16th 2022

2023 has been a busy year for Los Angeles-based composer based Amanda Yamate. They recently scored You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! which will be released on Netflix. The feature is a co-score with Este Haim, starring and produced by Adam Sandler. This is the second time Haim and Yamate have co-scored a project, the first being last year's critically acclaimed feature, Do Revenge (Netflix), by director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Later this summer, the feature documentary Every Body (Focus Features) is set to premier this June at Tribeca Film Fest and have a nationwide theatrical release.

They've continued their post as an additional score contributor under composer and multi-Grammy winner Ariel Rechtshaid. These projects include the HBO MAX series Gossip Girl (Reboot), now in its second season, and the new Disney+ limited series The Clauses.

Additionally, Amanda scored the unscripted feature Dead Hot (Tubi), the short Skin, which won Outfest's Special Jury Mention, and earned nominations for an Iris Prize, as well as "Best Original Score" in the Global Shorts competition.

Amanda has created original music for brands such as PACSUN, Kanye West's GOOD Music label, Facebook, Square, Applebees, and Conair. Amanda wrote and produced on artist Davia Spain's debut album Dawning under their solo project moniker Masao, which was played on a loop for the virtual presentation of Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors at The Broad Museum. Amanda joined the Heavy Duty Projects team as a composer at the end of 2020.

Besides shattering the gender binary, Amanda strives to expand the definitions and possibilities of "film music," while using their craft to uplift underrepresented voices.
